I heard lash extensions damage your lashes...

Iana Cornescu

As an esthetician I would like to reassure you that eyelash extensions are meant to only ease a woman's life. If the application is done correctly, there should be no damage to your natural lashes. I will be honest with you though and tell you that extensions are not that good for your lashes. Lash extensions are still not natural like your own lashes and together with he glue they could make a change to your lashes if you don't take any breaks from them.

Eyelash extensions require a lot of maintenance. Besides the idea of keeping them looking good longer, you need to keep them clean. When washing the face, not skipping the eye area is very important because eyelashes have dust and bacteria that gathers throughout the day. That refers also to making sure you remove all your makeup if you use any. I will go over the products to use in the next blog.

The maintenance is extremely important but more so is finding the right artist and the right products. Here we have lots of choices: from synthetic lashes, to silk and mink lashes. The choice you make can be based on the look you want and the budget you have. Synthetic lashes are usually cheaper than silk and mink. The artist's job is to inform you about the choices you have for products as well as the styles. Everyone has a different eye shape as well as natural lash fullness. If your lashes are already damaged, you either need to take a break and treat them with oils and vitamins or you need to go for the more natural look. We all love volume but natural looks can do the job just as good and make a huge difference to our face.

So long story short ladies, don't be afraid of getting lash extensions. Make your research for the right artist and the right product and then go ahead and take a 2 hour nap while your getting the service and wake up prettier that you already are.

There's no better feeling than waking up pretty and not have to go through the whole process of getting ready.. Getting ready takes time and lashes make an effortless difference to our look.

I'll warn you : It is addicting....

Much love,
